Hey there! My name is Elizabeth and it’s great to meet you. I want to welcome you to my blog, and introduce the content to come:
The latest environmental news from the fashion world
Tips on shopping sustainably
Interactive social content where you can share advice, opinions, etc.
Commentary from leading eco-friendly fashion influencers
Advice on leading a eco-conscious lifestyle
This last point is the most important for me, as it leads to the completion of the others. My blog is part of my efforts to live an eco-friendly lifestyle, as I take stock of the clothes I wear and the brand practices behind them. I look forward to seeing how I measure up in the long run.
In my experience, many sustainable fashion blogs seem out of reach, as they have been blogging for years and you need to catch up. Instead, my blog aims to show everyone how they can develop a sustainable mindset, and it is prefectly fine for everyone to be at different points in their journey.
Shopping locally is a good rule of thumb. However, although I love window shopping on King Street as much as the next person, those clothes are above my price range. So perhaps I should look lower-profile locations next. My goal is to look out for sustainable brands for every budget, because I know many can not afford these higher-priced items. Sustainable fashion could, and should, be for everyone! I truly believe this and hope to drive that message home in my future blog posts.

My drive to live an eco-friendly lifestyle began when I moved to Boone to attend Appalachian State University. It was the simple act of moving into a dorm that attracted me to this sustainable mindset. Each semester, before I came to campus, I would have to choose what clothes to take with me and which to leave at home. This exercise made me realize which of my clothes were essential and how much of my wardrobe I rarely used. This led to me giving away what I rarely used and reading into the brands my essential clothing came from. Making that decision to scale back my wardrobe is what started my ambition to live sustainably. I hope my blog will encoruage that same enthusiasm in others!
